APPLICATIONS OPEN UNTIL JULY 31, 2025
IN | CAHOOTS Submission Process
The Interstitial invites artists to apply with projects that would benefit from a 29-hour staged reading process. Applicants must be available for rehearsals and a staged reading presentation in Fall 2025.
What is the Program?
IN | CAHOOTS is a new opportunity for director/playwright/dramaturg teams to access discounted resources and producing support from The Interstitial for a staged reading of a new play. Hand off time-consuming producing tasks (securing rehearsal and venue space, industry and general invitations, light marketing, and more) to The Interstitial, allowing you to focus on the work. Erica and Morgan are excited to learn about your existing efforts as a collaborative team and to contribute our resources to help you reach an audience.
What WE Provide:
What YOU Provide:
*The Interstitial is a development-focused producing partnership. We’re most excited about this opportunity to help creative/collaborative teams seek answers to their questions in a staged reading format. Most importantly, we’re here to help bridge the gap between self-producing and waiting for the play to be plucked from a pile. Sometimes the work has to be heard!
